The big firms here pay their first years $110k-140k. I think there are a few big firms with satellite offices here that pay 180k but they don't have many attorneys and take 0-1 summers.

This is all on the Nalp website.MantisToboggan wrote:any idea which firms? also could you negotiate a better salary as a 2nd year from a major market?Lolstudent wrote:The big firms here pay their first years $110k-140k. But if I recall correctly:
Schwabe, Williamson, and Wyatt- 110
Tonkon Torp- 120
Miller Nash Graham Dunn- 120
Davis Wright Tremaine-120
Stoel Rives- 125
Perkins Coie- 140 (1850 hours); 155 (1950 hours)
I'm not sure you would have enough pull as a second year to negotiate a substantial increase. Are you a student right now? Feel free to PM me. The Portland market is pretty small and requires serious ties.
