If you have too much time on your hands and no longer care about coursework, consider working part-time at a federal or state agency.

I was feeling a bit bored and uninspired and started a research assistant position for a professor I found interesting on a relevant topic. I am also trying to mentor 1Ls and 2Ls.

You can also load up on interesting & useful black-letter classes, clinics, or internships - very easy to design your course load to make yourself super busy and not bored! The folks who're bored during 3L tend to be the ones who've loaded up on easy seminars etc.

Good ideas! Thanks, everyone. Did a year-long clinic during 2L (and the way lotteries are set up, clinics here are a full-year commitment so that’s out for 3L), but I’ll see if I can load up on some interesting courses and whatnot.

Or enjoy this last bit of free time before you go work until you die.

Law Students, regardless of class year, should do this. Is there a law school version of freshman 15, because it's a real phenomenon.

I've been looking forward to 3LOL and it has truly lived up (or down) to my expectations. Being bored 3L year is a blessing not lost on me.

If you're headed to biglaw you will look back on this in a year and be like wtf?

This is the last year in your life where you will have ZERO responsibility. Would it be sensible to get heavily involved in clinics? Yes. But you wouldn't be bored and posting here if that were the case. Pick a hobby that is a bit time intensive in the beginning: gym, investing, something artistic, etc. Or if you're single, take advantage of those swipe dating apps and look for an SO.

Just be young and have fun! If you wanna veg and watch tv that's okay too.

Just don't waste your time here.
