Take personal income tax or skip to corporate tax?

Does Corporate tax build on Personal Federal Income tax or are they entirely separate? If I'm considering working in tax law, would personal federal income tax be too basic to be useful in practice?

Yes, in my experience, corporate tax builds on the intro tax course (which is usually called "federal income tax" but focuses largely on personal income taxation). Corporate tax usually assumes some working knowledge of the basic tax concepts introduced in federal income tax. It might be technically possible to skip straight to corporate tax, but your life will be much easier if you take federal income tax first. (You won't have to teach yourself as many things on your own time, outside of class). Federal income tax is also a very useful course just from a "life skills" perspective--if you're interested in tax I would recommend taking it.
