More on Success in Law School

Post by helplawstudents » Mon Nov 06, 2017 12:58 pm

In my experience as a law student and someone who created a legal writing program and an academic support program for a law school, there are two major factors in who succeeds and who does not in law school. First, you have got to find some healthy way(s) to relieve stress and practice stress relief every day. What seems to work well for many students is mindfulness meditation. UCLA has some online mindfullness meditations for free online that you can find by googling "UCLA free guided meditations". Second, you have got to be able to spot and correct your own mistakes on legal essay exams. So many students would read my comments on their practice exams and say "But I did that!", when no, they actually had not done "that".

Pretty amazing insights.

How much would I have to pay for the privilege of having you tell me even more? Surely you aren't just giving this advice away?

Golden insights like "be able to spot mistakes" surely won't come cheaply.

Can I say something? This helped me through my first semester of law school that I have yet to complete and I now make $500,000 as a corporate attorney for a small business in Afghanistan.

Make sure to do good work. And turn it in on time.

I can give you details about what "on time" means, but I'm going to need $500.
