USAO's office in LA?

Can anyone who externed there comment about their experience? I know they have 4 branches (Civil, Criminal, Tax, and National Security), so I was hoping to get insight about how different each branch is/which one I should be applying to.
I know that my personal interests will ultimately guide my decision, but I would love to hear your guys' input about these branches.
