How I turned in the word count for my brief

Pleadings, chapter two, verses nine through twenty-one:
And Saint Alwood raised the brief up on high, saying, "O Lord, bless this thy brief, that with it thou mayst smite thine enemies, in thy mercy." And the Lord did grin. And the people did feast upon the lambs, and sloths, and carp, and anchovies, and orangutans, and breakfast cereals, and fruit bats.
And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou count the number of words in thy brief. Thou shalt count to three thousand two hundred and forty-nine, no more, no less. Three thousand two hundred and forty-nine shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three thousand two hundred and forty-nine. Four thousand shalt thou not count, neither count thou two thousand, excepting that thou then proceedest to three thousand two hundred and forty-nine. Five thousand is right out!
Once the number three thousand two hundred and forty-nine, being the number of words in thy brief, be reached, then servest thou thine brief on thine opposing counsel, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.”

LAWL. And some people wonder why law students are seen as insufferable from the outside, and, to a lesser degree, from the inside as well.

I'm a huge Monty Python fan. I'm not a fan of just replacing words in an already-funny bit to make it less funny. What's next? "Nobody expects the policy-oriented question on the final!"

It's lazy, cheap, and we're all worse off for having been exposed to it.

I thought it was good. Lazy humor can still be funny, maybe you should just get the stick out of your ass you seem to have today.
