I heard the cut off GPA for McKay could have been as high as 3.6.

Seems like it's about that time. Anybody heard anything about honors yet?

Haven't heard anything here - was hoping for McKay. GPA's safely above the cutoff from past years but not sure how much things vary year-to-year.

Still nada here. Looks like last year they didn't go out until the equivalent of next week (saw it buried in another thread on here). But I'm also insecure enough to stress about it so

Academic services said "early to mid July" in an email, I'm pretty sure, so I was holding out hope

By 3L honors, you mean Butler/Allen/McKay, yeah? And by Monday you mean somebody told you they are coming out Monday, or they already started coming out last Monday?

Just looked at unsureperson's post history - they're class of 2018, so probably talking cum laude / etc. Last year, Academic Services posted those at least a week apart from McKay/etc., so I'm not giving up hope yet.

I’m above a 3.6, if what was said above is right and we think that’s generally within McKay then I can say these aren’t out yet at least per my current unofficial transcript.

Can confirm that Butler/Allen/McKay aren't on transcripts yet (3.8+ and no sign of anything).

...I did it. I emailed Academic Services.
Bright side: They confirmed that 2L scholar notices haven't gone out yet, and plan to have them out "no later than next week."
Downside: I'm now irreparably extra in the eyes of NYU's bureaucracy.

Just wanted to provide an additional data point for future students.

3.91, got Pomeroy email on June 13, 2019.

Although the cutoff changes from year to year, I think if you're >3.9 you'll get Pomeroy with about 90% confidence. Although I don't know what the cutoff my year was (Class of '21), I've heard of people in past years get Pomeroy with high 3.8's.

Does anyone know what the McKay cutoff was for class of 2020?

Honors are out. Looks like they're lower than previous years, which makes sense.

Because this thread was so helpful to me these last few years, here is some data from the class of 2020:

final GPA of 3.604 was good enough for cum laude in Spring 2020 (likely lower than past years due to COVID), but 3.572 after 4 semesters wasn't good enough for McKay in Spring 2019
