Difference between 1L courses and bar exam?
I've heard that the way students learn subjects for their 1L courses is substantially different from how these topics are learned for the bar exam. Could anyone fill me in on what the real difference is, and why mastering, for example, Contracts as a 1L won't be enough to handle Contracts on the bar exam?

What is the rule in New York governing revocation of a contract where the offer was mailed?
The difference is that you don't know the black letter law of a locality.

Is that the only difference? I thought there would be something more. In our class, we actually did cover our state's BLL in some topics and I found the state BLL way less tortured and convoluted than the casebook materials. It's almost as if the casebook authors were trying to confuse us.
