I'm there. Doesn't seem like UA is full of TLS'ers.
Strange, because at the ASD I heard more than one person reference TLS...
Have you heard anything about financial aid? I've sent in my seat deposit and still heard nothing. Every other law school sent me that info ahead of the deposit deadline.

Do you mean scholarships or need-related aid?

+1. Then again, no one is listed as "attending" on LSN either. UofA admits = super secretive? (or maybe super indecisive like me?)seaboot wrote:I'm there. Doesn't seem like UA is full of TLS'ers.

OP I was creeping on your other threads and saw you're from CA. Where at? And are you trying to get back or are you down with AZ?

Nah. Nothing, but they have been very receptive when I've asked questions. I am confident that they are processing all the seat deposits, working on filling in any gaps with the wait list and will start sending Financial Aid info out soon.seaboot wrote:Need based aid.cool of law wrote:Do you mean scholarships or need-related aid?
Just shoot Allison an email. One of the many perks to a small school: not 10 administrative assistants and vague, form e-mail responses like some other schools that will remain unmentioned....you know who are..

I'll be there.
Double check that folder they gave out at the ASD. I believe there was a sheet with the tuition prices on it from the Financial Aid people that mentioned something at the bottom about emails (or letters) going out in May.
And now here we are, so hopefully they will be coming out soon.

I edited and reedited this a bunch, but the line below says it all.
Substantively, I'm going with the mantra: "Better to have a job in AZ than be unemployed at the beach in SD"

I thought I saw that too, and then I looked through the stuff I had from the ASD and I must have misplaced that paper because I can't find it. I'm glad I didn't imagine that. I sent an email to the fin aid person earlier, hoping that the info is sent soon. Thanks!ColomboHeat wrote:I'll be there.

Re: University of Arizona class of 2014
I've been looking at housing for months. It's tough, because two places right next door to each other can have radically different updates, fixtures, or conditions of upkeep. I'm used to apartments where you can largely assume each unit is going to be the same. I saw a 1br miniature home right across the street from the rec center south of campus for less than $400/mo. Not for everybody, but definitely cool. I also checked out a 2br/1.5ba slightly larger old school looking house for $900/mo that was right downtown. Tucson is a good town to free yourself from apartment living. I don't know about you guys, but for me that's a plus.
Actually, this Saturday I'll be down there trying to work out some kinks with the owners of this 2br/2ba 1500'ish sq ft brick home with a big yard that's about a 20-min drive up I-10 North of campus. I'm currently a commuter, and I tell myself that I don't want to keep up a long drive to class once I go back to school ... but this could potentially be a great deal.

In. I officially gave notice at my job today.
I'm not sure whether to be excited or terrified.

I did it last week and was scared as well, especially since my two weeks notice was really like a 3 months notice.

hmmm... so is it a bad plan to casually walk into my boss's office 2 weeks before orientation to tell him that I am thinking about going back to school? I am leaning in that direction lol

Ditto, although they do know I applied so it can't come as that big of a shock... I hope.ColomboHeat wrote:I still need to do that and I am terrified.

Also, I am certain I am better than all of you and that I will be top of the class.
Taking questions.

Officially attending on LSN (first one?). I think I was sitting with you during the ASD breakfast if you're from Fresno and you were the guy who had some car trouble on the trip out. Are you set on UA or are you still working that one out?WhiteCochran wrote:+1. Then again, no one is listed as "attending" on LSN either. UofA admits = super secretive?
