I called them today and RHE is the lot by Calhoun, not the garage. You can call again and will probably get a different answer.

On a related note, I [finally] received my room assignment for CL today. Whoopee!

Sorry for the (very) late response. They are making me pay pro-rated rent for the month. It was extraordinarily difficult to move in early, but finally happened on-time. There are tons of rooms that are empty, so if you still want to move in early it may be possible given an appropriate amount of pressure and phone calls. Try speaking to Melissa in the main housing office. They are the only people really able to help. Even then, it will take both emails and phone calls.vttran9 wrote:Are they making you pay a fee for moving in early? I am interested in moving in early also but I am not sure if they will let me since I currently live in Houston.TJISMYHERO wrote:I'm supposed to move in next week and still haven't gotten a room assignment. I've called them multiple times and been promised that I would have a room yet I am cautious since a friend of mine got an email yesterday apologizing and stating that he could not move in until the 18th even though he has been in constant communication with them about moving in early.
Needless to say, I'll be on the phone with them first thing in the morning.

Hi Bartleby, on the FB page for accepted students someone (2L+ -- I don't remember) offered the tip to check the library for books that haven't arrived. If the book you need is in the library then you could do the reading/assignments for next week and save the $$s. Also, a fellow student would probably be happy to let you scan/copy the necessary pages. Good luck!

I'm not sure if I should ruin his first class for y'all or not.
I would read.
Edit: Are y'all doing the trash disposal case?

Congrats Bustang, look forward to meeting you!
Yeah for Gidi's class we were assigned the trash disposal case, Band's Refuse Removal v Borough of Fair Lawn.

This thread doesn't look very active anymore but I'm working at a firm in Houston for the summer and looking for a place to sublet. Please PM me if you have anything or can refer me to someone looking for a subletter!
Thanks a ton!

Re: University of Houston c/o 2014
I know this thread is dead, but I am hoping someone on here will see this bump!
Question for all you guys. I will be coming to Houston this summer for a couple SA positions. I was wondering if anyone in this thread was leaving for the summer and looking to sublet their room?
Also, I have a friend who is also doing the same thing I am, so if anyone has a 2 bedroom or an apartment/home with 2 bedrooms open, that would be amazing.
Anything helps, it is REALLY hard to find an apartment when you are not in the city.
Feel free to PM me if that is better.
Thanks!!
