Deposited! And I booked plane tickets to look at places in early June - can't make housing days, how are other people finding places? Still unsure if I want a roommate (cheaper) or live alone.
As long as I don't have to live here! --LinkRemoved--
I really really really hope that's a joke

Made my deposit today. Luckily it doesn't have to be an exclusive SIR until June 1st. I'm not sure what the chances are I'll go there yet, but it's a great school!

So I'm 95% sure I want a roommate rather then living alone...anyone else looking for a roommate? PM me! Also current students if you know someone who has a roommate moving out and needs someone let me know and I"ll pass on my contact info

I've been a hurricane a wildcat and a LASER so a bear is a step up in my book. Still going to be a wildcat fan since WUSTL is not actually good at sports, makes my life easier no conflict of interest

I was a banana slug, so there's really no way to improve from there.

Re: WUSTL Class of 2014
Kind of an obscure question, but how are the roads in St Louis during the winter? I'm looking at apartments and I think I'd like to live in the CWE (nice area and I'm living by myself so the safety aspect is appealing). I have a car and also want to make sure I'm close to the metrolink.
When I visited in February, they said that the law school almost never closes for snow. So, do the roads get terrible? I'm from the mid-Atlantic and we end up with very bad roads because the plowing never happens, then even the smallest amount of snow ends up freezing and it all becomes a sheet of ice.
Just curious if I could be screwing myself over by not living within walking distance. Thanks for any thoughts!

Re: WUSTL Class of 2014
I'm from St. Louis, but still only take this as a single opinion. Some might disagree, but I think that St. Louis is actually a good city when it comes to both snow plowing and competent drivers. If you live in St. Louis you can usually count on a few good snows every winter, and usually at least one that kind of buries you. Because of that, I don't think we get that kind of "ZOMG SNOW ER'BODY GONNA DIE!" panic you get in places further South where half an inch means 27 accidents on the morning commute. The plows and salt go out and people take their time/drive reasonably. That's just been my experience.peaches2132 wrote:Kind of an obscure question, but how are the roads in St Louis during the winter?
