Washington and Lee 2014
Anyone else really leaning towards W&L for next year? I'd figured this would be a good way to meet potential class mates, find out about living, etc.

I was this close to starting this thread, but I'm still a bit torn and still waiting on some acceptances.
That being said I've heard great things, and it is definitely my top choice right now. I still need to visit first. I am super excited for the ASW in March!

Anyone think they'll be going to the ASW in February?

Re: Washington and Lee 2014
Any progress for anyone on this? I am pretty set to send in my seat deposit next month. Went to the March ASW and was impressed. Everyone was open about what W&L had to offer as well as what it didn't. There seem to be a lot of different opportunities within both the Law School and undergrad to get involved in which I think is a big draw for me and goes along with the small size of the school.
Definitely will be making a few more visits down to show the Parents (yes even at 33 they want to know where I'll be) plus have to look for housing.

Ha! I'm 31, and I brought my dad to the March open house. The poor guy wanted me to go to law school for sooooo long, I figured I'd bring him along. Did we run into each other? I was on crutches.dlpelletier wrote:Any progress for anyone on this? I am pretty set to send in my seat deposit next month. Went to the March ASW and was impressed. And on a related note, I'm pretty sure I'll be going to W&L. The programming at open house was amazing, the admissions staff are amazing, and all the current students I met indicated the faculty were just as personable. They took a decent jump up in the rankings this year, too!

My dad did had his own law school days, though that was quite some time ago and a completely different experience being in the Navy and doing Law School at night at the New England School of Law. I'll be bringing him down at some point probably in April and I have no doubt he will be "dropping" in on me throughout the year.
I think I saw you at a few of the events I had the GF with me so much of my time was spent keeping her entertained and filled in. I didn't get as much time with other perspective students or the current students in fact as I would have liked. But glad I was able to bring her down since my attending W&L will mean we will be apart for the next few years. Important that she saw it in that type of environment.
I've begun the process I need to with the Vet's Administration for my financial stuff so pretty sure at this point W&L is a done deal for me. It is a great fit in so many ways so I'm excited. I've already spoke to a couple of current students from on here and the Facebook page regarding house and plan to take a few trips in April / May to looks as well. Still debating if I want to try and do a 2 bedroom on my own though.
Hopefully we can get a few more bodies in here and begin to flesh out the W&L '14Ls

I'm about 99.9% sure I'll be there next year! I was already pretty sure about it, but the open house really made my decision for me. Such great people, both faculty and students.

I'll be there next year! I was debating between there and Wake because I love NC, but I decided I love W&L more! Can't wait for next year

I just put mine down. Anybody gonna live on campus? Also, anybody here interested in rock climbing? I'll be bringing gear with me.

Paid my deposit! Hmm I've never really been rock climbing, but I've always been interested in trying! Where I live now doesn't have much in the way of mountains or hills or even rocks...maybe I'll take it up while I live in Lexington!

I'm also planning on living off campus. My two years living on campus in undergrad are enough to last me a lifetime. I'll probably be going up early summer and finding a place, too!

Re: Washington and Lee 2014
Hey guys,
current 1L here. I am posting cause I am looking for two new roommates for next year to live with me in my lovely townhome. Rent is 950 total for three bedroom 2.5 bath, so approximately 315 a person before utilities. I am looking for two female roommates only and have pictures if you want to PM me and then friend me on facebook. Let me know if you are interested.

I've sent in my first deposit, so I'm definitely coming this fall. I'm a novice climber, so I'll bring my gear. It should be fun to climb somewhere new, I'm used to fractured limestone in the midwest.

Has anyone started a Facebook group? We could use it to plan get togethers prior to classes starting!

Nice! Most of our climbing in and around san diego is granite. I've got a really good rope and anchor set up, but not too many cams or anything people would need to lead or climb multi-pitch routes.habeogladium wrote:I've sent in my first deposit, so I'm definitely coming this fall. Edit* Class of 2014 facebook group is a really good idea! Somebody want to start it and link it on here?
