Re: UGA Law Class of 2014
Hey guys. I am currently an undergrad student at UGA and will be attending law school there in the fall. I have lived at 755 Broad (formerly known as Ga Traditions) for the past 2 years and recommend it to anyone looking for a place to live in the fall. To some it may be expensive but the location, amenities, and management make it worth it. If you have any questions feel free to personal message me and as always Go Dawgs!!
P.S. Here are the websites for the property for those of you that are interested. --LinkRemoved-- and http://755broad.com/
Thanks

When I signed up the e-mail didn't work at first. After about 2 days it started working. The school sent the confirmation of my deposit to both my UGA mail and my gmail address.Sandro wrote:Has anyone signed up for their UGA MY ID and been able to access their email and other stuff ? If you're looking at the property that Boulevard operates on Finley, it IS right next to the projects but it's about as close as you can get to campus and actually pretty safe. The building was recently renovated by Boulevard and it's really nice on the inside. The convenience is crazy, though, most people won't end up parking as close to the school as you'll be.interknight2007 wrote:It's just West of the law school? I still say the best area is Boulevard (Prince Avenue to Nantahala, Childs to Satula) because it's a nice, quiet neighborhood a short walk away from campus.
Hope this helps.

Yes, it does! Thank you. What exactly do you mean by "pretty" safe though? I figured the convenience was amazing too, part of what drew me to it.Autoaccept wrote:If you're looking at the property that Boulevard operates on Finley, it IS right next to the projects but it's about as close as you can get to campus and actually pretty safe. I looked at some of the Boulevard ones, and they seem nice. Might try for that if I can't get one of these apartments.
Also, what would a typical month cost for the other utilities be? Electric, internet, etc.

Re: UGA Law Class of 2014
By "pretty" safe, I mean "safe". You will be next to some projects, which could sound bad except that all the huge UGA freshman dorms are right next to them as well. You maybe wouldn't want to walk through the project courtyards at night, but was that really something you'd do anyways? I have a good female friend who lived there and she loved it. Also has one of the best views in town if you get a room facing east.
The utilities are going to vary widely depending on what kind of cable you get and whether you live with roommates. They're all probably comparable to most similar sized towns.

Btw, the room in my townhouse has been taken. But UGA Admissions emailed all us current students about posting housing availabilities for incoming 1Ls at http://www.law.uga.edu/housing-opportunities.

FYI as well: http://law.uga.edu/housing also has a form where incoming 1L's can post their information in order to link up with potential roommates. I just submitted my info a second ago...I think it will be pretty useful.cariberry wrote:Btw, the room in my townhouse has been taken. Re: UGA Law Class of 2014
Hey guys...I've contacted some people on the UGA housing board but I wanted to put a message on here also. I'm trying to get my housing settled ASAP for the fall and am looking for either an open bedroom someone has or a roommate to sign a new lease with. I've been looking mostly at 909 Broad and 755 (Georgia Traditions) but I'm open to other places as well. If anyone is looking for a roommate send me a message and we can talk about it through email or phone or meet up in person, whatever you prefer. Take it easy.
Edit: I found a listing for a 3 bedroom townhome I'm very interested in, if there are any pairs of students looking for housing or those who don't want to live downtown or in 909/755

I live at 755 Broad (formerly Georgia Tradidtions) and it's very nice. I would check it out if you plan to live off campus. It's a higher end place.
