I submitted my request for Curriculum B quite a while back, and I received an email acknowledging my request in May. If you were a late admit (e.g. admitted off the admissions wait list) and never had an opportunity to submit a request, you'll probably want to reach out to the registrar to request to be put your name in the hat the for Section 3 lottery.
Many more students requested assignment to Curriculum B (Section 3) than we are able to accommodate. Therefore, students who requested Curriculum B but were assigned to Curriculum A have been added to a waitlist for Section 3... As spaces become available in Section 3, students will be randomly selected from the waitlist to be enrolled in that section. If you are selected to be added to that first-year section, you will be notified by email and will be required to respond within one business day.

No. Is everyone else able to log into MyAccess with their Netid?

Edit: I did get my section, section 4! I had to log on to the ASW to find that out, though.
Section 4 is the best. Abernathy is the man.

I LOLed.

So §1 has no Fridays this year? Nice. I wasn't in 1, but last year I was in the no-Friday section.

So far it looks like there are no Friday classes for sections 1, 4, 5, and 7. Haven't heard anything about 2 or 3.

Whoa.

Last year, only one section didn't have Friday classes, and there was no section 5.

No Abernathy for us, maybe the section assignments changed for profs this year? Who are other good profs?

You will get a lot of detailed handouts in torts. Some of the detailed, technical handouts are important. Others are irrelevant. Your job is to decipher which is which.

The assigned professors are professors are Shelanski and Pillard. Anybody know anything about them?

They added a section for next year so the professors won't match up with the same section they did last year. You aren't missing much by not having abernathy, he does what he can to make you feel stupid. Was successful once or twice on me, but I got a good grade in his class so the joke's on him.

Aw, dude, I loved him. He and I still email about wine. I don't think the joke is on him - he wants us to do well.

As far as some of the other profs:

David Cole is amazing. He talks a lot and calls on you very little and I didn't do the awesomest in his class, but he is a great, caring person and you will learn so much in his class. He's also a brilliant supreme court practitioner.
Nina Pillard is a section 3 person this year. Some of my friends liked her, some didn't. She knows her shit, tho.
I really liked Oldham for contracts, dunno if any of you have him this year.

I would agree that at the end of the day he wants us to succeed, I just think he goes out of his way to embarrass people and make them feel stupid. You can be a great law professor without using the "jackass method." Take cole for example.

I will say however that I laughed more in abernathy's class than any other. The guy is funny.

Anyone else in Section 2 enjoying the fact that the Spring schedule includes a non-stop block of Tuesday/Thursday classes from 9 AM to 5:30PM?

Section 5.

Don't we also have Feldman? is she spring semester? or is she not assigned? I checked out a segment she had on fox news back in '08. Don't want to mess with her :D

Another section 2 person here. That's not how I read it: CivPro from 10-12, then a gap until 1:20 on one day, and 3:30 on the other day. Looks like LRW only meets once a week.

You're right. I misread the schedule, thank god.

In other news, I heard from some current students that they tend to group sections in a secret, non-random order, e.g., Section 1 last year was the gunner section. Fact/fiction?

Usually sections develop reputations, but except for Curriculum B and the evening program, I think it is all just coincidental, or at least shaped by the type of professors people get for the fall semester.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
