Hi All, so during the financial aid session on Saturday, Anthony Henry said that many times the Scholarship offers and Financial Aid Grant offers/info come in two separate correspondences. Have you guys had it presented to you in that way?

I think people who have both received them on the same award letter in the finaid offer site. But it's 2 different processes so you could possible hear separately. I got both at the same time, but they will look at merit again later, but need seems to be non-negotiable.

Yeah this is why I'm so confused, my site has all financial aid need-based $$ and no mention of scholarship merit based.

If your award letter on the site has no merit listed, then you have not been given merit. You can email them and ask for clarification if you feel like it's in error. They did leave it out for some people by mistake last week, but it is also possible you didn't get any.

That's very true, which is why I emailed Anthony Henry and the scholarships alias asking for clarification. I definitely feel like with my numbers and personal statement I should get merit aid. I also sent in competing offers from other peer schools with significant merit scholarships, hope that helps too.

Now that people are starting to deposit, I think we should keep track of the TLSers who are going to Penn next year.

I was the guy who lost his phone for a moment at UVA. I did not attend Penn's ASW. I had a conference that weekend. I made an individual visit.

Cool man so I did meet you. You found it then? Sorry couldn't have been more helpful. So you liked Penn more than UVA I take it.

So what is everyone thinking about in terms of housing? I

Attending after clutch dean's scholly! Despite what was said in the other thread, I found the administration to be completely accessible throughout the process.

Relief for the first time in about 6 months. 8)

When are people moving out there? I was thinking I would do July and try to beat the rush, but after talking with quite a few management companies over the last few days, I get the sense that July is just as busy as August. Also, FWIW, I was told tomorrow is the Wharton housing fair. Lots of open houses at popular grad buildings.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
