Well I feel like if you're borderline, (i.e. below 25th percentile, but not too far below) they wait for the deposit deadlines to see which people withdraws, and then they select people from the "maybe" pile to fill those peoples' spots. So you can get in weeks after your application is complete
Thank you for this information! Good to know:). Hoping I am in the "maybe" pile then:). I read the deposit deadline is July 12 for the previous batch of admitted students.

Nothing yet. Admissions said they will be releasing decisions on a rolling basis up until the date of orientation -- which is August 9th for transfers.

I'm hoping there will be more available seats after today's deposit deadline.

Dinged via snail mail. Check your mailboxes, my status checker still just says "Application Complete" even though the letter was dated 7/12.

Anyone know what the deposit deadline is for the latest accepted batch of students (was already dinged, but asking for the purpose of my NYU app)

Anyone hear anything or speak with admissions? Seems like there hasn't been much movement.

Are they still reviewing applications? And would late transfers have the opportunity to apply for Journal since the timeline is July 16-23?

So just FYI, the EIP (2nd year summer jobs) starts on July 30, 2019. In order to participate, you must be admitted at least 1 week prior to the start.

Yikes....

I am still waiting here too. I was told that the deposit deadline is July 18. Orientation is July 25 not in August. You can call Admissions to ask if a decision was rendered on your file and they will tell you. If they say yes and that a letter was mailed out, that means a ding if you never received an e-mail.

Oh thanks for the info. Yeah if the orientation is July 25, there is no way I would be able to make it even if I was accepted. Oh wells.

I literally just did the same thing. Still under review and admissions said decisions will be rendered shortly. Let's hope we get some good news!

Did they clarify what they meant by shortly? As in today or the next couple of days?

The guy I spoke to didn't clarify but from our conversation I would say probably next week. However, don't hold me to that as that's my own guess.

Any updates this week? Even if we get accepted today, would transfers still be eligible for EIW?

Hey everyone, I was denied my mail dated July 24 which make sense considering their transfer orientation was the 25th. Best of luck to everyone else and congrats to those admitted.
