Transferring from AU to GW
So I'm a 1L at AU. I didn't do amazing my first semester but I am capable of transferring to GW and I REALLY want to go into BigLaw. Knowing that AU is ranked 80, I think it makes sense to transfer to GW if I up my grades this semester. Any and all advice is much appreciated.

1. Do you have a scholarship at American?
2. Assuming you boost your grades second semester, would you have a reasonable shot at biglaw from American?

I do have a scholarship. If I boost my grades, I probably will be top 30% of my class, maybe less. I'm not sure if I have a chance with biglaw at AU given the numbers and school ranking. I assume GW will give me better prospects.

I'm not sure that you'll get as much of a boost from GW as you think you will. Might be worth asking students there how their OCI experience was. My understanding is that transfers are generally viewed based on their grades/placement in their original schools.Anonymous User wrote:I do have a scholarship.
