UCLA v. GTown?

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Jun 21, 2018 9:22 pm

I want to practice biglaw in CA and have family there. Would I be better off at UCLA than Gtown? I hear that UCLA transfers do well at OCI when they transfer from CA schools, but I come from a Southern T1 School. I'm not sure if most firms at OCI would be familiar with the caliber of students at my current school. Jones Day, Alston & Bird, and Kilpatrick recruit at my school, but I'm not sure about the other firms with CA offices. I think a lot of the firms at Gtown's EIW come to my school for OCI too, but I've heard cautionary tales about transferring to Gtown.

Thoughts?

I'd wait for Berkeley. The fact you got into both ucla and Gtown means you have a possibility of getting into berkeley.
