Yale Transfer 2017
Didn't see a Yale transfer thread so starting this.
Got an email yesterday morning that my application is complete and they plan to release admissions decisions next week (week of July 10th). Don't know if they'll stick to that because they released decisions a little later than that previous years.
#1 at TT (50-60)
EDIT: I looked at the threads for the last two cycles, and it seems like they've actually made good on their projected decision dates the past two years. Admits generally went out mid-week the week they promised, and dings went out the next day.

Yeah I'm hoping we find out this week too. Mine went complete last week. Same stats as you.

Based on past years, I would guess acceptances go out this week.

What are people who got into Harvard doing? Deadline to accept is today at 5pm.

Re: Yale Transfer 2017
If you got into Harvard, and are worried about the looming deadline to accept, it's okay to accept there and then withdraw if you get into Yale. It won't create any sort of legal or Character & Fitness issue, Harvard is not going to pursue the thing at all, and Yale won't care that you committed to Harvard. The worst thing that'll happen is that you'll lose your deposit. Worth it, IMO.

In via email. Stats for future references: rank #2 at T14 (~1%). Called Yale this morning and they said they could make an expedited decision if applicants have other deadlines to meet. Best of luck!

Congrats to the new admits! I transferred to YLS last year, and I'm happy to give my take on any questions y'all have. Looking forward to seeing you in New Haven in a few weeks.

I'm glad the YLS admissions office figured out how to not send out false-start congratulations emails this year

I'm curious why it's taking so long for the ding hammer to fall. In years past, it happened the day after acceptances went out.

Re: Yale Transfer 2017
as a 0L from GULC who is dreaming hard for transfer....may I ask about the chances of YLS transfer students getting federal clerkships or even Supreme Court clerkships? (a very big if...) Will there be substantial disadvantages? (I assume some extent of disadvantage will be inevitable, but just not sure whether it will be substantial....)im_hot_soup wrote:Congrats to the new admits!
