Skype Interviews

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Jun 21, 2017 9:55 am

Looking for advice on Skype interviews. Mostly concerned about dress, demeanor, what kinds of questions I should be prepared to ask etc. Does anybody on here have experience with these for the admissions/transfer process?

Speaking from my experience with UT, the interview was super relaxed. I wore a business dress but you could definitely be really business casual. It was with a career services counselor and a professor. We mainly talked about my personal statement and how 1L was going. I asked questions about a lot of the organizations/opportunities/job market at UT and they answered most of them as if I was already accepted. The interview is really just a screener to make sure you're actually interested and know what you're getting into. They also want to make sure you're sociable enough to make friends (not a joke). I would NOT stress about it. Just browse the school's student affairs/student life page and pick out some things you're interested in. Good luck!
