Once you tell them that you would like to be placed on the waitlist, do they send an official acknowledgment email or anything that we are officially placed? Or do we assume that we are on it after we send them an email...

Side note, does anyone have any idea of how many people are actually admitted via the WL?
No idea how many ppl were actually admitted via the WL. Based on previous threads, not many I assume... :|

I got no response so far for my confirming email sent last week...so assuming they've received it.

Sorry to hear that. What were your stats? How bad of a drop?

Hi everyone,
I was accepted last week and am waiting on another school. Not sure what to do with the early approaching deadline...

Only guessing but I think "early round" in the context they are using it means to be able to submit bids and be eligible for preselect along with everyone else. If you miss that window you'll only be able to get cancellations during open signup and maybe a few slots they hold back for late transfers. I'd call them to double check, but if that's what they mean than you want to get your deposit in today otherwise OCI is gonna be a bad time.

Has anybody else not received any decision at all yet? I applied EA and was deferred, submitted my second semester grades a few weeks ago, and have not heard back.

Got deferred EA with a 3.4ish from an upper T2. Got a 3.8 second semester and just got my acceptance email! So excited to finally not have to stress about this. Got denied from UVA a couple of days ago so GULC it is. Good luck to everyone still waiting and I'm looking forward to seeing y'all in September.

Does anyone know how the seat deposit works? It seems like signing the waiver is binding while putting down the seat deposit is not? I'm wondering because I'd like to reserve my seat but would also like to be able to back out provided I get into nyu or umich.

I paid the $1200 deposit on June 28 but was accepted at by another school, which is where I will most likely be enrolling. I believe you're right about the deposit being non-binding while the waiver is since the deposit does not include any any binding statement like the waiver form does. I think it's okay if you do that while waiting to hear from other schools. Good luck with your apps!

Has anyone heard anything today? I'm assuming there will be some movement this week since deposits are due today for admitted students...or I hope there is some movement...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
