A forum for those current students who are or may be transferring from one school to another. Post any questions, advice, or other transfer related comments here.

Anonymous Posting

Anonymous posting is only available to the creator of each thread. The anonymous posting feature is intended to permit the solicitation of anonymous advice regarding the transfer application process, chances of being accepted, etc. Unacceptable uses include: testing the feature, questions which are clearly fake or hypothetical in nature, harassing other users, etc. Posters should also read and understand the announcements posted at the top of the Transfers forum prior to using the anonymous feature.

Failure to follow these rules will get you outed, warned, or banned.

Yes!

For posterity's sake, my stats were #1 with a 4.0 at a Midwest TTT in addition to Brown/Columbia/Dartmouth/Duke/Northwestern/Penn for undergrad (I think the strength of my undergraduate school might have helped me on the margins). I also thought my interview with UChi went really well.

Congrats! I am really surprised you were deferred at GW. That makes no sense!

Hey everyone... Just as a heads up Chicago is a little slow this year with transfers. We did not get our decisions until the 31st when normally they are released at least a day or two (if not more) before that.

No. I would have been very happy staying at my current school and did not think about transferring until I received my first semester grades. I think it is very foolish to go into law school expecting to transfer. We had one person in my section who said that they planned on transferring to HYS after 1L... 8 months later they are barely above median.

For those who received an interview request, how long between completing the application to the day you received the interview request?

For those who completed the interview, how did it go and what points of discussion did they focus on?
