Yale Transfer Waiting Thread (2014)
I know the application deadline hasn't passed yet, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to get this thread going. Last year's transfer thread can be found at http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=212261. The earliest reported decision was July 12.

I presume the nonexistence of an online status checker. I only got an email similar to the one ethmdv described.

Spikedude, if I recall correctly: I submitted my app via LSAC on June 21. I received an email from Yale confirming receipt of my application on June 24. I received an email stating that my application was complete on July 3.

Re: Yale Transfer Waiting Thread (2014)
Hey all,
I was accepted to Harvard today (I'm very excited). However, as a native of New Haven, I would ideally like to attend Yale if I'm luckily enough to be accepted. Harvard asks for a statement intent, which must be submitted by this Friday. Yale indicated that they won't be sending out acceptance notifications until next week. What to do? I think the timeline has been similar in past years, so would be great to get any perspective.
Thanks.

Do you know if Harvard will extend that deadline for you by a couple days if you ask? Congratulations on the Harvard acceptance, by the way! That's amazing!ace3913 wrote:Hey all,

Would it hurt to call? It's not like you're being impatient when it's been two weeks since you were notified that your application was received. If anything, you're just being responsible by calling to make sure they have everything they need.JuniperCreekEsq wrote:still waiting on YLS to email me to let me know that my file is complete. submitted about 2 weeks ago. anyone else in the same boat? i didn't get a status checker, which i don't think YLS uses. should i call?

I decided against calling and went "complete" this morning. When Yale says to expect decisions "the week of July 13th" do they mean decisions might be released Sunday?

Re: Yale Transfer Waiting Thread (2014)
It's possible, but I doubt it. The first reported decision in 2013 was on July 12, a Friday. (See http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 1&start=25.) The first reported decision in 2012 was on July 23, a Monday. (See http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... &start=100.) The data for 2011 is a little harder to find. Someone in the 2012 thread stated that the first reported acceptance in 2011 was on July 19, a Tuesday. (See http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 0&start=75.) Another person in the 2012 thread wrote on July 18 (a Wednesday): "The first TLS-reported acceptance came yesterday last year." (See http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 0&start=25.) If by "yesterday," he meant July 17, that would have been Sunday (in 2011), but I'm guessing he meant Tuesday, July 19, 2011. In 2010, as best as I can tell, the first decisions came out on July 16, a Friday. (See http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=124111.) To summarize, then:JuniperCreekEsq wrote:I decided against calling and went "complete" this morning. 2013: July 12 - Friday
2012: July 23 - Monday
2011: July 19 - Tuesday
