Just dinged by email. Email copied below:

Dear [name redacted]:

Thank you for your transfer application. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept your transfer application at this time. To be honest, we are disappointed (and frankly, a little shocked) that you had the audacity to apply to Stanford Law School with your less-than-stellar credentials. Even so, we wish you the best of luck with your future career and with your studies at your current school, as we are sure you will not be accepted as a transfer student anywhere else.

Sincerely,

Chancery Crankly
Director of Admissions
Stanford Law School

Why do you think they waited to reject you?

I emailed them and they said they are taking it on a day by day process. Not sure what that means.

This was just a joke (as CounselorNebby pointed out). I didn't actually receive an email like this. Sorry I didn't make that more clear. That being said, sometimes when I receive a rejection email, I have to wonder if this is what they really think.

Yeah figured that. I assumed that the "ding by email" was legit since it's probably time that they cut us loose.

Yup. Even though it doesn't sound like they have a definite date in mind, I imagine final decisions should be coming pretty soon. Soon, we should be free.

Congrats! Shall we all presume you're going? I remember from your past thread that you accepted Harvard, correct?

Thanks everyone! I ultimately declined Harvard, so this one is still up in the air. At least unlike Harvard, I'll be able to find out about financial aid before having to make the decision, so that's nice.
