Was just about to do this.

Top 1%-5% (yet to come out) 3.86 GPA
East Coast school T1 (I also come from a PT program)
2 CALI's
No Ties

Waiting on class rank to go complete.

Good luck!

Top 2% at some other Bay Area school (3.96 GPA)
0 CALI's (pretty sure I must be the only one in my ranking range with no CALI's, but hey)
CA ties
Engineering undergrad
Some random awards acquired during 1L

Not sure of my chances but I was admitted to Berkeley earlier this week so who knows? Stanford would be dope.

UR 6/10.

How important do you think it is to have ties to California or want to work in California after graduation?

I'm hoping not that much...considering I lack the former.

Here is the link to last year's waiting thread: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=210502. Last year, the first decision was reported on July 22. (See page 6 of the thread.)

Jesus that is late. Does Berkeley make you choose before then just for this reason? Crappy situation.

I called today and they said they were doing comprehensive updates on all applications. I think just updating the status checker, but they should start the moving to piles of who has a chance and who doesn't.

Cool! Best of luck to everyone! Hopefully some of us will be enjoying the weather in California this fall!

I've been told by someone who transferred a couple years ago all the acceptances come by phone call in one day, estimated mid to late July. Then all the dings come shortly after, and not by phone. So if you don't get a call on the day that this thread starts going crazy, odds aren't in your favor.

Any chance Stanford would release decisions earlier then previous years like other schools seem to be doing?

Any possibility of decisions this week instead of the following?

Possible, but I doubt it. In 2013, I think the first reported decision was on July 22. In 2012, the first reported decision was on July 17.

I just got into Harvard, and they want a decision by Friday. I'd really prefer to go to Stanford, so this is tricky.

Do you think there is any chance Harvard will extend the deadline for you if you explain your situation? I seem to remember at least one school (GULC?) doing that upon request.

That's a great point. It couldn't hurt to ask. Thank you!

Although I imagine I would leave out the "I'd rather go to Stanford" part

Haha. That might be best. Good luck with the rest of your transfer cycle! And congratulations on getting accepted to Harvard! That is awesome!

Hey folks. Never been on or posted to a forum like this (although I sometimes read them). Thought I'd stop by and let you all know I'm also in the same pool ("under review") and praying I hear something soon!

I wish you all the best.
