I think this will vary depending on where you're applying from.ZXCVBNM wrote:thanks, kind of weird that they don't give a day but i guess they're harvard so they can. is top 5% necessary to get in?

Re: When is Hrvard's transfer app available?
I would think you'll need top 2-3%, but I could be wrong.
My understanding from transfer apps group on yahoo is that T14 generally needs top 5%, maybe T6 can get away with top 10% but then you're pushing it, and elsewhere you need to be tippy top (because I get the feeling that transfers to HYS tend to be students from *good* tier 1 schools that would be greatly benefited by transferring up. Compare that with T6 students who, if they're near the top, already have most of the options of a HYS student, and the same could go with T14 students at some varying percentiles. I just am making a guess based on the results and the various needs/desirability of transferring for students at different schools.

^^
And if my school just gives percentiles... like suhhhhhhhhpose I end up with a 3.94 at W&L (for example), they'll say I was top 5 but no one will ever know if I was #1.

I think H also deal with the schools enough to be able to put the Gpa into context
