Absolutely. I've wanted to see that for awhile.
I think it would be more fun to drink every time they say "Kingsfield" or "Pimp" for that one scene alone.

I better pass on this one. I'm already paranoid enough about 1L.

Won't be able to do it tonight, fantasy draft at 9:00. If everyone else is free, though, obviously go ahead, I've actually seen it like three times now, lol.

I actually didn't care for the movie that much. It was just ok. I did, however, really like the TV series, which I rented from the library back home. Kingsfield is the same, but everyone else is different. Still, though, one of my all-time favorite lines is when Kingsfield gives Hart a dime to call his mother when he screws up in class. Classic.

Woah, AND the actor who played Kingsfield won an Academy Award for best supporting actor for that role?! The competition must have been pretty soft in 1973...

Picked up my books. It was pretty streamlined; you tell them what section you're in and they go grab it for you. It was about $625 for everything.

Yeah I left at 5AM. plus eleven hour drive and one hour time time zone change that I forgot about and half an hour to find the place and it was 5:30...

@JOThompson, thanks for the offer but I just got a hotel, which I probably was going to do anyway because I don't have a bed yet.

Wow, that sucks, but definitely good to know--not that it'll make me get there any faster on Thursday

Did we ever find out if the Course Packet for Orientation week is sold at the book store? Zephyr's? Or is it provided?

Wow. Cheaper than I thought, which is good.

Thanks for the info.

Just moved in today!!!
I'm bummed I missed the first meet-up. Anyone want to catch a beer in the next couple of days?
Also, I think most people are up here by now, but if there are stragglers who need help moving in, let me know!

I'll probably go to the bar tomorrow evening if you or anyone else is interested in meeting up.

I'm also willing to help people move in. I seriously sit apathetically in my apartment all day and could use an excuse to get outside.

I talked with another dude about meeting up tomorrow. If you PM me your name and phone number i'll shoot you a text if anything goes down. Or, if anyone plans something let TLS know!

Also, I just booked a Megabus ticket to Chicago leaving Wed., coming back Sat. It was only $51 and it isn't any slower than going by car. Not a bad deal!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
