Re: UCLA Law Class of 2013
A little over a week ago I got a new Blackberry in LA. I got Metro PCS because the sales person recommended it and I have never been to LA before. She said it has good coverage. It did - in the store. It doesn't work indoors anywhere else. It ain't too great outdoors either.
A while ago on this thread someone recommended Verizon. Is there any other suggestions or is that the general consensus that verizon is the best in the area?

Verizon is, by far, the best for the LA area.MURPH wrote:A little over a week ago I got a new Blackberry in LA. This is right...however, all cell phone service sucks at UCLA. My Verizon phone had a few dead spots here and there, and dropped a bunch of calls. Don't know if thats changed since '07.autarkh wrote:Verizon is, by far, the best for the LA area.MURPH wrote:A little over a week ago I got a new Blackberry in LA. Hey Guys,
I know this is rather insignificant, but I'm curious. Given that Berkeley's medians fell this year (!) when do you suppose we'll find out what our class's medians are? Also, do you think they'll drop? Since Berkeley saw an increase in apps but their numbers fell across all quartiles, do you think they dropped because of errors on the admissions staff's part or because of the tuition hikes?

Someone in the fin aid office ahead of me in line was asking for a loan for $3000. I am pretty sure if you need money they will hook you up with a no interest loan until your fin aid comes in.
I got parking yesterday and sections today. It is starting to feel like back to school time is here.

if you're in weyburn terrace, i had this same problem and i guess it was an issue with the wireless networks - WIFI_RES and WEB_RES restrict law.ucla.edu sites for whatever reason. if you set up SECURE_RES, everything works.cochon wrote:hi, is anyone having problems logging onto their lawnet accounts or the admitted students site? i haven't been able to log on the past few days.
anyone else moved in yet?

Has anyone checked their bill yet? I was wondering if that was with or without health insurance.

If it shows up on your view financial aid summary/awards as disbursed, you can be pretty confident that it's coming.

Mine hasn't, but they accept credit card payments, or alternatively you can get a "bridge loan"ogurty wrote:Did anyone's financial aid show up in their bank accounts yet? The parking fee is due tomorrow..
