Hey kids, I just realized you newbies might not know something:

202 637 7000 is metro customer info. You can get real time arrivals VERY easily for any station. Nothing is worse than sitting for 15 minutes on a saturday night waiting for a train... so if you're on the move you'll know when you need to leave the bar, etc!

Any Section 7ers want to meet for a beer (or four) after class one day this week?

After having 3/4 of our classes, it has been very tame. Other thoughts?

The cold-calling is pretty tame, Patterson even skipped over someone who didn't read. Between that and the pre-class cupcakes, I'd say it's been pretty ok.

The only tough spot I can foresee is finding enough time in the day to get everything done.

Why would you go to shady grove?

The phone system is faster than your 3G probably is... unless you've got the App I suppose it may be quicker? IDK im unfamiliar with anything "apps"

We trampled the 2Ls and then had all the order of people either trying to get a good seat on a Southwest flight or trying to get overhead bin space on any flight that charges for checked luggage.

PUBLIC SAFETY ALERT 1

Dear Members of the Georgetown Law Community:

At approximately 6:13pm tonight the Metropolitan Police Department Communications Center received a phone call that a man at Georgetown Law had a gun.

DPS was not notified until MPD was on the scene at our campus. MPD officers met with DPS and observed a person standing on the ledge of the 11th floor of Gewirz and ran up the stairs to investigate. For safety reasons, he was handcuffed by MPD, interviewed and released.

This has now been classified by MPD as a false call.

At about the same time this event was taking place, a rumor began circulating around campus that a student had committed suicide. DPS has received no reports of a student considering or committing suicide.

All conditions are now normal at our campus. All members of the Georgetown Law Community should continue with their usual activities.

I was awake at that time but I don't remember seeing anything unusual. I might have been over at the library or something, though.

Area law enforcement agencies are currently dealing with a potentially suicidal jumper at the 395 overpass adjacent to 2nd and Massachusetts. The person is not a Georgetown Law student.

Please avoid this area. We have established a perimeter in the area.

That explains all the traffic and sirens on Mass Ave while I was trying to read torts in the library.
