Perhaps for some reason 2Ls got grades early. Not sure.

Just to confirm, are you saying you have all your grades in?wiseowl wrote:Perhaps for some reason 2Ls got grades early. Not sure.
Yes. Someone texted me around 7:30 and told me they were there. I don't know when they showed up.quakeroats wrote:Just to confirm, are you saying you have all your grades in?wiseowl wrote:Perhaps for some reason 2Ls got grades early. Not sure.
sigh... this is why contracts should be actually taught when you pay 48K a year.los blancos wrote:sigh... this is why LARW shouldnt be graded

I used to think that friendo, but after grading your casenotes for the last month, it should be harsher.los blancos wrote:sigh... this is why LARW shouldnt be graded
How does this work? I assume all or nearly all of you have jobs this summer. We turned in our notes on May 17th. When do you have time to read and grade them?wiseowl wrote:I used to think that friendo, but after grading your casenotes for the last month, it should be harsher.los blancos wrote:sigh... this is why LARW shouldnt be graded
That's a great question. Notice when my post was last night.quakeroats wrote:How does this work? I assume all or nearly all of you have jobs this summer. We turned in our notes on May 17th. So they just hand you your portion of the stack and give you a month or so to go through them? Also, when should we expect to hear back?wiseowl wrote:That's a great question. Thankfully, almost done.
Good thing i didnt write one... hahawiseowl wrote:I used to think that friendo, but after grading your casenotes for the last month, it should be harsher.los blancos wrote:sigh... this is why LARW shouldnt be graded
My biggest complaint about LARW and the casenote, etc... (though I understand why they do this) is that you can't have anyone else read it. Of course the casenotes you are looking at have problems, because the best writing is usually produced when someone objective gives you feedback.wiseowl wrote:I used to think that friendo, but after grading your casenotes for the last month, it should be harsher.los blancos wrote:sigh... this is why LARW shouldnt be graded
Yes. And personal statements.quakeroats wrote:

1. Grading casenotes was probably one of the most horrible things I've had to do in law school, right up there with general journal work.wiseowl wrote:That's a great question. I'm happy with it. Got all 1-14, plus a couple more. Heavy emphasis on TX and some NC and Chicago, didn't bid NYC or CA. I think I only missed one or two that I would have really liked to have--no complaints here.quakeroats wrote:How did everyone's bidlists turn out? I'm shocked I managed to convert over 15, but most of those are on just one day.
You're going for PI right? It must be nice to have firm jobs as a backup plan. I hear you can accept a firm job while you work on finding a PI slot too.Reedie wrote:Not a big firm fan anyway.
Check your PMs. How does that compare with last year?Bosque wrote:We 3Ls cannot see the firms you guys can interview with. How many are there this year?
Same. Except I actually did 30 and managed to get some of the seemingly less competitive ones. Seems random.Reedie wrote:I got 15, and didn't do 30 bids. However a lot of the firms I bid on that were less competitive, I didn't get. So we will see.
Not a big firm fan anyway.
