But seriously, I really hope I get a parking spot through the lottery system otherwise I'm screwed.
Man, that's scary that we may not get parking! I guess since everyone is sort of clustering in the same areas, we could get some carpools going?

I was told by Parking dept. that once entered into lottery, you will be awarded one of the choices. So? Similar note, I put in for 3 lots on the lottery. Should I enter for more? Planning to live in Culver so it would be difficult w/o a spot.

I dunno, our online presence is pretty lacking everywhere, I think it'll pick up when school starts. Its cool that everyone on there is adding each other already though.

Also, our class is only like 200 people (and some of the slots haven't been filled for sure yet) so we have like 25% of the class in the group already which seems like a lot to me.

I'm no expert on the area or anything, but I'll be living in Koreatown! The apartments are relatively affordable, the commute isn't bad and the neighborhood seems decent.

I'm going to be moving to LA from New York and am in a little over my head with Southland living arrangements. Is anyone interested in a roommate? Or just providing some apartment hunting guidance? I am quiet, courteous, and amenable to all manner of living arrangements. Thanks in advance.

The best thing to do is use westsiderentals.com . It's like $60 for a 2 month membership and if you give them criteria they'll essentially give you a list of apartments that fit your needs. Most of my friends in the area have used them and really recommend it.

That said I gave up on apartment searching day 1 and I live in LA... and will be living in Terrace. But I'm chicken.

Anyone living in the new University Gateway apartments right next to the Shrine Auditorium? I just signed my lease there, and it looks incredible.

Does anyone know when they are telling us what sections we are in or have they already done it (and I stupidly missed the email/notification)? Thanks.

I was told we find out during orientation. But our class schedule/booklist should come out this week.

Hey everybody. I just want to clarify a few things so that I don't have to worry at all on my last day before orientation. We haven't been assigned any reading or given our class schedule, right? I didn't think so because we have gotten our sections and no email has been sent out about it (no email I have received at least). Just wanted to double check because my friend at UCLA has a bunch of pre-orientation work. Anyways, thanks for any info and see you all soon.
