1. when is the deadline to accept these loans? I'm afraid that if i accept it now i wont be able to rescind it just in case my waitlist situation works out

2. how do i go about this process?

3. super confused.
From my conversations with the fin aid office the sooner the better so they can process everything before classes start(and hopefully get the surplus before classes) but they didn't tell me of an actual deadline though I imagine there is one.

To review/accept loans you need to follow the directions in your email. (log into novasis look at your award letter[go to financial aid services -->my award information -->view 2010-2011 law school estimated award letter] and follow the instructions there/ print it, write the amounts you want to take out then mail or fax them the signed letter)

Then after that you need to do the entrance interviews which according to horribleGB is a royal pain; I'll probably be doing it myself today or tomorrow so I'll confirm her claim once I find out.

Disclaimer: I'm a 0L and this is what I've been doing/told and hopefully it is correct.

Took the entrance interview quiz today... took like 1/2 of and hour. Not to bad but defiantly annoying.

Go here: http://www.law.villanova.edu/Admissions ... -2011.aspx
On the left there's menu with a number of things explaining everything. It's actually pretty comprehensive. I don't think there's a date that you have to accept the loans by.

What part of the "process" are you confused by?

PS: Yes, NOVASIS is incredibly confusing. Even current students don't know how the hell to use it. I generally just use the search box at the top whenever I'm looking for something.
I just called the financial aid office and nobody answered. I'm trying to figure out what happens if I accept the Federal and GRADPLUS loans issued to me by Villanova now, and but then later in the summer I am accepted off a waitlist elsewhere. How does this play out if I decide to withdraw from Villanova and attend a different school after accepting the loans?

Beach: On NOVASIS, look under "Student and Financial" and "Active Registration". Should be up for you.

Anyone interested in exchanging facebooks? Figure it's a good way to know a few faces before we all get there, instead of being thrown back into the abyss like undergrad. Feel free to PM me if you're interested. Especially those in my sections!

http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/grou ... 8520361213 that's your class group. wouldn't be a bad idea to make a student-run group though. that's what someone did last year. it was good for organizing meet ups.

If I'm reading this right, it looks like Section C with Section J for LW. Excited! Any other Section C's out there?

Yeah! I had brought this up earlier in this thread or another, but nobody wants to be "that guy" to make the group.

Hey everybody, this is my first time posting on here too (although I've been following along for prob 6 mos. now, haha).

Just wanted to let you know that I went ahead and created a student-run group for the Class of 2013. Here is the link: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=7 ... 437&ref=ts

It's pretty basic, but it at least gives us a starting point! See ya'll in August, I'll be moving up to Manayunk from Nashville soon. :)

Sure thing!

I'm still brand new to the area.. but my neighborhood is up the hill from that street with the train station and all the bars and stuff (i'm in a house rather than an apt). Seems like a really fun part of town though. I've never lived with so much stuff in walking distance! I've heard Roxborough is really nice too.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
