When are we supposed to hear back? It says June 2nd in one place and June 25th in another. I haven't gotten a single response yet, neither acceptances nor rejections. Has anyone else heard back yet?

No need to be condescending - this forum exists for a reason. As I said, on the website it says employer decision "June 2nd" which is likely confusing to some people

Re: PLIP 2019
I have 18 (though one is an alt that promised to interview there even if I don't move up que, one rejected me so that they can screen me immediately over the phone for potential expediated hiring, and there is one that is same firm different office). All V100s or t30 ranked in ip. All 180 or 190 payscale. Most in CA or DCAnonymous User wrote:How many interviews are you guys invited?
Not sure how to add a poll, but can someone add one in intervals of 5 for interview count. Mod, do we need your help for that?
Anyone hear anything from SFIPLA btw? Some firms seem to have made decisions. Got 1 at SFIPLA already.
SIPJF seems like it may be brutal. Fish could have interviewed up to 17, but chose only to interview 5. Wonder if other firms will do the same.
Total interviews so far for me are at 20. Anticipating at least 7 more from mass mailing/sipjf/sfipla. Also taking part in a firm's recruiting program (basically multi-day callback). Will it be easy for me to strike out assuming I'm an average interviewer. My grades are median at a mid T1 btw, but all my interviews are pre-selects.

Speaking as someone who rarely attends any networking events to gather information, is there anyone who could explain the difference of the patent market in CA, NY, and some other local market like Atlanta? Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Good for you, congratulations! Just wondering what do you mean by mid T1.Anonymous User wrote:I have 18 (though one is an alt that promised to interview there even if I don't move up que, one rejected me so that they can screen me immediately over the phone for potential expediated hiring, and there is one that is same firm different office). Re: PLIP 2019
Just go where you want to live. Biggest difference in markets is some are big on life sciences and others on tech. Palo Alto for example is very big on tech because that is where the clients are. DC was a very big market because there used to only be 1 USPTO office, the one in Alexandria. ITC is also there and law in general is big. Texas is/was big because of forum shopping, but rule changes have made it harder so litigation center has currently shifted back to Delaware. Smaller markets like ATL are generally more localized or outposts that do a lot of remote work. It may actually be harder to get a job at a lot of these outposts because the need is a lot smaller. Things change all the time though, think Denver is becoming bigger/more important lately for example so it is hard to say how things will look in the future.Anonymous User wrote:Speaking as someone who rarely attends any networking events to gather information, is there anyone who could explain the difference of the patent market in CA, NY, and some other local market like Atlanta? Any movement in the Dallas market? Haven’t heard back or been dinged. Seems like I’m in limbo. Any news on CB? Outside of Dallas I have been dinged by Akin and Fenwick.
