interviewing for a spot in legal/compliance with a trading firm for 2l summer. Concerned about substantive work and the possibility of getting into biglaw after graduation.
Anyone have any experience about the specific work and how firms might view it?

If BigLaw is the goal, I'd still be hustling for that. What do career services say?Anonymous User wrote:Lower t13, median/slightly above, on a journal, have TA'dalbanach wrote:What are your other stats? Assuming it's out, I'd be looking for their advice about finding something you can translate into substantive experience for BigLaw. Honestly, I think you'd get better legal experience by getting your practice certificate and spending your summer at legal aid or in a PDs office if they can commit to getting you into court at least once - that way you'd have a narrative about your summer.

CS has been useless since OCI. Do you have any idea of what this type of work will be and how it will translate/why it isnt substantive?
biglaw has seemed to be pretty out of the question at this point (unless you know something fam, in which case hook it up ) mailed basically every firm at least once since October.
