Got a cb from Eversheds this week that will happen over the next week. Have had callbacks with Kirkland, Baker McKenzie, and Squire Patton Boggs over the past week and a half. Have yet to receive any rejection letters.

Are you able to say which practice group at Eversheds the cb is with?

Was this for exec comp? If so, I’ve heard someone talking about an offer from Morgan Lewis. Not sure if Boston though

No was for their transactional tax group in Boston. Was part of the resume collect.

Any info on what the salary offers were for Big4 in the major markets this year at TIP/TARE? Pretty consistent with the 115+10 in previous years? I have a offer in a mid sized market for 90+10 and trying to see where that stacks up.

Received an offer in the southern market from a big4 at 105 base +15 signing bonus. Also looking to hear from others that have received offers from the big 4. Has anyone had any luck negotiating their base salary?

Got 125+10 in NYC during fall OCI.

:) it depends. I took a gamble with NYU because I was lost after law school as to what I wanted to do (the job offers back then weren't so attractive or to my liking so I took the risk with the thought of delaying one year to figure myself out). I've made good friends, enjoyed learning about tax, and surprisingly made good grades with no tax background in the program. Sure if you're coming to NYU with the thought of biglaw or bust, it's a huge gamble and you might regret, especially tax is just so different and you'll be locked down in tax with that LLM.

The offers were before fall grades. T14 JD median grades, NYU LLM 3.7.

Would it be safe to conclude that if you don’t get an offer within the first week after a big four call back, an offer is unlikely from then you on?

No that is not a safe assumption. Depends on firms. Some have national recruiting committees and it could take up to 3-4 weeks for them to meet up and decide. Some handle recruiting by office committees and those are generally much quicker, but still can be 1-3 weeks. So while 1 week may seem like forever as the applicant waiting around, it is a very small amount of time for a law firm.

Edit: I'm an idiot and didn't see you said big 4. I'd still say give it at least 2-3 weeks. Would depend still whether it's for a grp like national tax or for a local office.

Does anyone hear back from DLA Piper? It seems like they have concluded callbacks last week.
