DLA NY gen tax? I only saw DLA interviewing for EC in SV. An offer has been sent out for for DLA SV, but I don't know if the student has accepted or not.

It’s from NYU OCI.

FYI: I just accepted a regional Big four... rejecting both other Big Four and Big Law. So I would assume there is still trickle down. I am a little worried that I settled on salary but glad for choices and excited about the fit. I would expect trickle down will keep occurring. Best wishes all!

Just curious but why accept regional big4 over biglaw? Was it a location or practice area issue?

Location and I have a unique personal situation that just fit better with this choice. Agreed it was an unusual choice, but it was just a better choice given my personal circumstances.

Congrats!

I had to make a similar decision when I was in the LLM program at NYU. I think people forget that some folks in the program are biglaw refugees who don’t want to go back to those grueling hours. For some, Big4 is the preferred outcome.

Did anyone ever hear about offers from Pillsbury, Haynes & Boone, or Alston?

I interviewed with Alston around 2 months ago and it is still radio silence. I heard that it is slow but never realized that it can be so slow. Not sure if they are hiring entry levels this year because their postings in other websites ask for midlevel to join the team.

Has anyone in NYU ITP received an offer from any of the big4 ? If yes, is it a permanent position, are they willing to sponsor you for H-1B Visa?

I had a callback scheduled less than 2 weeks ago with Alston & Bird for NYC SALT that I ended up turning down.

I am getting random ding letters still and I know some people have been interviewing for international offices and some second tier Symplicity listings that popped up after TIP/TARE.

Otherwise, I think people are pretty much done.
