Silence from accepted firm?
Is it usual for firms to not communicate with you (at all) after you have signed an offer letter? 3L who got a job through OCI here, so don't really know the normal firm's etiquette. Much appreciated!

Yes. A year from now your firm and the people in it won’t leave you alone. Enjoy the freedom.

Yep, once everything is signed, radio silence is completely normal. If it's biglaw, I would expect a winter gift, and then contact in the Spring re: tax stuff if they are going to be giving you a stipend or helping you to move/pay for bar.

As long as you've received some kind of acknowledgment of your acceptance, you should be fine. There's no reason for the firm to communicate with you on a regular basis for now. As other posters have said ITT, you'll likely hear from them early next year re: bar/moving/salary advance/etc.Anonymous User wrote:Is it usual for firms to not communicate with you (at all) after you have signed an offer letter? 3L who got a job through OCI here, so don't really know the normal firm's etiquette.
