Accepted USAO offer ... what now?
Accepted USAO offer. Submitted all forms (including 14 month waiver form) and SF86. What’s the next step?
I’ve looked at other posts on here and it looks like there’s a suitability review, then I begin work, then an actual investigation occurs. How long does the suitability review take and when should I expect an EOD?
I called OARM and didn’t receive much info in terms of actual process so I figured some anecdotal evidence is the next best thing. Thanks

Off topic, but how long did it take to receive your offer?

Re: Accepted USAO offer ... what now?
IME people don’t actually start until they’ve gone through the investigation, though I know others have said differently. The last person hired in my office who didn’t already have a background check through DOJ started about 7 months after they were hired (but there was a freeze for part of that which complicated things).

I think I may have asked you in another thread, but any chance it was DDC/EDVA/EDPA?Anonymous User wrote:On spotAnonymous User wrote:Off topic, but how long did it take to receive your offer?

Re: Accepted USAO offer ... what now?
I submitted mine a few weeks after my offer. Office looked it over, sent it to OARM. 3 months later I did my personal interview, a month after that they called some of my references, went to my old firm, interviewed people there, went through my personnel record. Very shortly after that I was cleared to start and given options of start dates in the weeks/month that followed.
