Los Angeles Mid and Small Law

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Oct 09, 2018 1:45 pm

Does anyone know of Mid and Small LA firms that hire summer associates/clerks, or 1st year associates? Struck at OCI, no luck at mass mailing so far, and not particularly sold on biglaw anyway. LA market is the goal. Don't care if summer is paid or not, as long as there's a good possibility of full-time employment.

OP: tier 25, school adjacent to CA, significant ties to Southern California. Secondary Journal, prestigious externships, median. Resume screams litigation, but open to transactional as well.

Any suggestions or places to start looking for good/decent mid/small firms in LA would be greatly appreciated! Also, entertainment law firms would be a plus as well.

Most do not hire summers, so look for clerk positions. Entry-level hiring is very prestige driven in LA, so you may want/need to hideout in government work for a while to get experience.
