Re: DC Offers/Dings
Is it too soon to follow up with a screener 9 days ago? I've had radio silence since then from my top-choice firm, but I have a pre-OCI offer which is going to expire in a couple weeks. I'm not sure I can afford to wait but don't want to seem too desperate.

Is a longer than one week wait after having a CB necessarily indicative of a ding?

Just FYI, I had a callback with them on Tuesday the 7th and it’s been radio silence for me as well. Hoping for movement early next week.Anonymous User wrote:Radio silence since Tuesday CB with Baker & Mckenzie... has anyone heard back from them/ know what their timeline is?

I’ve actually been looking for some insight into the firms OCI procedures. Is this typical?Anonymous User wrote:That's Baker for ya.Anonymous User wrote:Just FYI, I had a callback with them on Tuesday the 7th and it’s been radio silence for me as well. Im actually a 3L but I had a cb with Baker DC last summer. They literally never got back to me. Dead silence, never even a rejection email, even after following up numerous times. I can't speak for the other offices, but DC didn't have their shit together last summer.

Well that’s slightly concerning. Do you know of any other CB candidates that did hear back/a timeline? Thanks for the info you’ve already provided.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:I’ve actually been looking for some insight into the firms OCI procedures. I think the top DC firms that have big classes (Covington, Gibson, Hogan, Wilmer, Kirkland) have a pretty good turn around time because they have alot of spots to fill. Outside of that, it's hard to say because response time may vary based on the candidate.Anonymous User wrote:Well that’s slightly concerning. No. Many firms have a list of waitlist candidates after CBs. For instance, when I did OCI, I received a Gibson offer three weeks after my CB.Anonymous User wrote:Would like to know this as well.
