Those with three CBs... do you feel comfortable sharing your gpa? Just wanting to see if the low CB numbers are gpa-related or if everyone’s just experiencing lower numbers overall

I'm hoping everyone's got lower numbers overall--strike-a-match data predicts 10 callbacks for my gpa range (and I'm on the high end from what I recall), and I stalled at 6 :/Anonymous User wrote:Those with three CBs... do you feel comfortable sharing your gpa? When do people typically hear back about job offers after their callbacks?

Re: NYU EIW 2018
Depends on the firm and when/how often their hiring committee meets. If they meet every week on Fridays and your CB is Thursday, you have a decent shot at hearing within 24 hours, but it could take two weeks or more if the committee meets every 2 weeks or so and they just met right before your CB. I think that's the usual time, but I hard some took a month last year.Anonymous User wrote:When do people typically hear back about job offers after their callbacks?

How selective is Cahill really?? Just got dinged with above 25% gpa and was called back by 2 V10s. Thought I really had a good conversation with the interviewer and I actually wanted to do corporate work :/

Re: NYU EIW 2018
CBs are based on a ton of factors, it doesn't necessarily mean the firm is super selective. I got a CB to a V5, and (probably more tellingly) to 2 others that were supposed to be outside my GPA range, but was dinged at almost all the firms that were supposed to be right in my range. The bottom-line is, it's hard to predict, even after the screener. Maybe that interviewer had 3 other great convos and those stuck out more. Maybe most of the people interviewing wanted to do the corporate work you were interested in, and they were looking to give CBs to more litigation-minded people (or people who were more open to exploring other practice areas). Or maybe there's something to the selectively, and Cahill got screeners with a lot of people in the top 10-20%, or a lot of people on LR, and wanted those. You can't really know, so it's best to just focus on the CBs you got.Anonymous User wrote:How selective is Cahill really?? Just got dinged with above 25% gpa and was called back by 2 V10s. Has anyone heard from Ropes? Did a CB with them and forgot to ask their timeline on when we find out.

I had a morning callback on 8/14, and just got an offer ca. 10 minutes ago. I had good rapport with my interviewer, so she called to give me the news personally. She says that e-mails should be heading out later today.Anonymous User wrote:Ropes, CB 08/14. Has anyone gotten an offer?
