Delaware to $175,000
Rumors running through the Big 4 in Delaware posit that Potter Anderson has raised associate starting salaries to $175,000, effective August 1, 2018. Can anyone confirm? Will the other Big 4 match?

Re: Delaware to $175,000
I spoke to a couple RLF associates recently. Apparently there is some sort of compensation meeting happening within the next couple months.
If one big 4 firm goes up, the rest will follow. I would expect RLF or MNAT to lead the way.

Any confirmation that Potter is actually moving or is everything still word of mouth?

Potter Anderson announcement last week to $175k confirmed. From what I hear, seems to have surprised RLF and MNAT, both firms that tout themselves as the market leaders among the local firms and who may have been hoping to ignore the NY market momentum.

Nice. I was very surprised that RLF and MNAT were not acknowledging the NY moves, first to 180 and now to 190 with special summer bonuses. A move to 175-180 in Delaware makes working here such a competitive option. Thank you for confirming.
Any thoughts on whether MNAT will leapfrog or match Potter? Also, any idea why Potter didn’t make a public announcement?

NU student, looks like I'm striking out in Chicago. I've already applied to 6 firms in Wilmington, hopefully this is a soft landing.

Some of the Delaware litigation boutiques (Abrams & Bayliss, Ross Aronstam) match NY. Satellite offices of national firms (Skadden, Wilson Sonsini, etc.) also pay more than Big 4.Anonymous User wrote:99% sure RLF is at 175k. Does anyone know what the whole delaware scale looks like?

MNAT salary goes up 2.5% for a second year and then up 5% until you are an eighth year.Anonymous User wrote:I meant like what does the scale look like at Big 4 Delaware firms after year 1?Anonymous User wrote:Some of the Delaware litigation boutiques (Abrams & Bayliss, Ross Aronstam) match NY.
