Why do law firms preselect applicants below their hiring criteria on OCIs?
Does that mean they saw something in my resume... or is it my double diversity factor...

Re: Why do law firms preselect applicants below their hiring criteria on OCIs?
Because what they say their hiring criteria is, is not *actually* what it is, and "hiring criteria" is more than just meeting a certain GPA. Especially for pre-select schools, the firms might hope that by putting "top 10% required," fewer students will apply, and that'll be fewer resumes that someone has to go through. Or, maybe there is something about your resume that popped out to whoever read it. It might have been diversity. It might also be something merit-based, like if you have a technical degree.

What's the point of asking question to which you know the answer?

I genuinely have no idea. I'm trying to assume what they were after and play it during the screening interview. Though I doubt that I'll go any farther than that...Wild Card wrote:What's the point of asking question to which you know the answer?
