Signal interest in transactional work in cover letter

Post by cam1992 » Sun Jun 24, 2018 4:45 pm

How should I go about signaling my interest in transactional work in cover letters for firms that only offer transactional practices (aka all the ones I am ranking high)? My 1L internship gives me no experience in the field. The truth is that I have an interest in transactional work because of networking events, extracurricular group lectures, and research I have done. I don't think this is appropriate to include in a cover letter though. I was thinking about maybe including how I got an A in contracts, but other than that I am lost. Appreciate any help!
