Can anyone tell me how it's like working for HHS OGC, specifically in a regional office?

Have a friend who is working in a regional HHS OGC. They're bored out of their mind all day, every day, and the office hasn't hired in almost a decade. It's a super easy gig for the summer (and depending on the office, not super competitive) but don't expect to get a lot of substantive work other than some contract disputes and/or employment issues.

Even OGC in DC is mostly general counsel work, not health law. CMS, OIG, and the Public Health Division (and perhaps others, but those are the three I'm familiar with) handle substantive health law matters.Anonymous User wrote:Oh man.
