Hi all,
Does mass mailing hurt your chances with a firm at OCI if their website says to apply through the OCI channels and only to email them directly if they are not doing OCI at your school?

To me, this seems a little far fetched, but I know lawyers who would pass on somebody for less. The question is whether you would want to work for a firm like that.Notes from OCI interview with Candidate Anonymous
Seems nice enough, pleasant to talk with, enjoys hockey. Grades are good, extracurriculars are fine, has some work experience that might be relevant to what we do.
Sent a resume in through via email, despite explicit instructions to the contrary on our website. Evidently doesn't follow instructions very well.

If it were me, I'd follow the instructions on the website.
