Hearing from DP NY this morning. No screener, straight CB. Have they been making offers?

Nothing quite that new, but I know Simpson extended at least one offer last week for their NY office.

Simpson seems to have pretty quick turnaround, like 2 daysAnonymous User wrote:Do you know when they interviewed whoever they offered last week?Anonymous User wrote:Nothing quite that new, but I know Simpson extended at least one offer last week for their NY office.

I think the process--from screener to offer--took 3ish weeks. Not positive though, and I have no insight on how long it took from MM to screener.Anonymous User wrote:Simpson seems to have pretty quick turnaround, like 2 daysAnonymous User wrote:Do you know when they interviewed whoever they offered last week?Anonymous User wrote:Nothing quite that new, but I know Simpson extended at least one offer last week for their NY office.

Re: Pre-OCI 2018
General question - what are people thinking in terms of whether or not to still do OCI, if you have/could have a pre-OCI offer? An offer from a top choice employer? Or would you still do OCI anyway?

Re: Pre-OCI 2018
I’m in this situation, and I’m still doing OCI. However, I trimmed my bid list aggressively after getting my offer. My thinking is that although I believe the firm I have an offer from is my first choice, another firm could surprise me and end up being my first choice later on. If you’re sure that’s not possible then I don’t really see a point in doing OCI.Anonymous User wrote:General question - what are people thinking in terms of whether or not to still do OCI, if you have/could have a pre-OCI offer? This. To go a step further, if you do participate in OCI, you should feel comfortable turning down screeners that you're not interested in if you have already bid on firms. Will allow you to focus on the firms that you're really considering and make it a more streamlined process.Anonymous User wrote:I’m in this situation, and I’m still doing OCI. Re: Pre-OCI 2018
In what ways do you think you might be surprised by other firms? I guess I'm wondering what objectively I should be looking out for if I do go through with OCI screeners. I'm trying to not let fomo influence me too much since I know I'm susceptible to "what if..." thinking. Thanks!!Anonymous User wrote:This. Re: Pre-OCI 2018
Definitely outing myself to some, but if you’re considering doing 3 callbacks in one day, just don’t. I thought it would be fine but it was extremely taxing, and I’m someone who interviews well and actually likes interviewing. Two was hard enough because the first can run late and actually conflict with the second (happened to me) but 3 left me feeling almost nauseous afterwards. I know most people would probably figure to avoid this situation, but I also know law students (myself included) sometimes think they’re invincible in these types of situations

What times? I've only done 10a and 2p CBs. Were you late to any?Anonymous User wrote:Definitely outing myself to some, but if you’re considering doing 3 callbacks in one day, just don’t. Re: Pre-OCI 2018
10, 2, and 5:30. I was almost 10 min late to the second one, but the recruiter didn’t seem to even think I was late. She said I was right on time. Third interview I was max 2 min late but they called right at 5:30 to check on me. Once I was there though the recruiter seemed super understanding, maybe because they know how time crunched and crazy this process is. My impression was that being late isn’t what will hurt me, instead it just kept me from giving my best interviews, particularly for the second oneAnonymous User wrote:What times?
