Munger for corporate work
I’m looking at making a move to the West Coast and am curious about Munger’s corporate practice—both generally and specifically regarding M&A. Munger has a great reputation for litigation, but I don’t hear much about their corporate practice generally and it doesn’t look like they do much M&A. Is that characterization accurate or misguided?

someone can correct me if i'm wrong, but I think they basically do Berkshire-Hathaway deal work (and my impression is that they don't handle ultra-complex Berkshire deals).

From what I've seen/heard, the Munger LA corporate group recently lost a not insignificant number of partners/associates. I think the group may be shrinking/possibly having some issues.

Transactional has shrunk by about 50 percent in the last two years.

Re: Munger for corporate work
I’m not the OP, but am familiar with the group. Munger wants to keep the transactional practice going but the hiring hasn’t been able to keep up with the departures. There’s promise there if they can appropriately hire, but it’s a high risk bet.
