Drug Test For Judicial Externs?

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Apr 19, 2018 7:10 pm

One of my friends just told me they are being drug tested to be a judicial externship for their 1L summer...that seems insane given that the position is unpaid. How common is this practice?

Is your friend externing for a state court? I think some states might.

Not sure, but that makes sense since it's a flyover state. Now I'm worried since I'm working for the neighboring flyover state's AG office. I thought this is something they would tell you up front when you commit to working there, but it turns out they didn't tell her till like two weeks before she was supposed to take the test.
