Description in Pro Forma

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Apr 19, 2018 6:20 pm

I had a talk with a partner related to my descriptions. When you’re just reading the law/case/etc., what do you usually write for your time. I wrote something like “research and analyze case/law in preparation for next steps” and the partner said I should use other phrasing in the future.

Anyone have any examples? I honestly don’t know what else to write when I’m spending tens of hours reading about the law just so I understand what the client is asking.

I would ask for a sample from other associates in your group to get a sense of what they are using. Then just copy. Different groups and different clients are very different.
